Modcast Pilot 03: "lot Of Fun Was Had"

righthttp://civcomm.weplayciv.com/polycast/images/modcast_logo.jpg[/img] It's been more than six months since the forty-ninth episode of ModCast, "Spectacularly Unexpected", was published; it unexpectedly became the third and final episode of the show's fifth season. Work nears to realize a recording to start its sixth season for its fiftieth episode. In an effort to provide the Civ modding community a podcast instalment until that time, what is old is becoming new again with the release of the show's third pilot entitled "Lot of Fun Was Had" for the first time.

Featuring three of the four regular co-hosts Tony “GarretSidzaka” Kiehl, Kenneth “Impaler[WrG]” Ferland and Oscar “Elhoim” Velzi and a runtime of 45m37s, it was recorded in December 2007 in lead-up to its first episode the following month. The summary of topics is as follows:

  • 01m25s | News

Civilization IV developer Firaxis Games holds a modding contest for “Best In-Game Asset”, “Best World-Builder Scenario”, “Best Map Script” and “Best Educational Mod” and the stir it is causing in the community over its rules.

A creator known mostly for leaderhead works releases a full civilization in the form of Cuba; then, the “SMAC Condenser” city improvement (13m13s) and “Iroquois Horse & Footmen” units (17m05s) are examined.

The first MC pilot is unfortunately believed to be lost as no copy is known to still be in existence.
