“Why the game has chosen me, not Joao?”
When I saw this screenshot, I thought of this thread about space race victories: in it, TheMeInTeam writes that “In S[ingle] P[layer] there are no tiebreakers. There are no ties, at all, ever. The player goes first, then the AIs. If you got beat by a turn, it means the AI launched 1 turn sooner or had a faster ship.”
In this case, Ivo1 might have won the election because he received the requisite number of votes earlier than Joao. Still, this situation is pretty rare (especially since the Apostolic Palace election was just a two-leader race).
