PC.IGN received wonder movies for two of the three new wonders in Civ4 Warlords from Firaxis. The two wonders are Temple of Artemis and The Great Wall. The required tech and effects of both wonders are described in the brief article:
First up is the Temple of Artemis. One of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, this massive Greek temple was built in Ephesus over 2500 years ago. Players can build the wonder themselves once they’ve research Polytheism. At that point the city that holds the Wonder will see a two-fold increase in trade and gain an extra priest specialist for free. The Temple becomes obsolete upon the discovery of Chemistry.
The second Wonder is one we actually already knew a bit about. The Great Wall, originally built in the third century BC, becomes available once players research Masonry. Once the wall is built, your current cultural borders are surrounded by a wall that keeps barbarians from entering your empire. Owning the Great Wall also doubles the chance of getting a Great General from combats that take place within your borders.
The Great Wall’s increased chance of getting a Great General certainly makes it more useful.
